Hi,
I understand that the performance of PV panels is impacted by heat.
Does anybody have experience with insulation underneath (ie on the roof) and/or around the panels in an effort to maintain the performance of the panels?
cheers Kim

Insulation under panels will not help, its best to have as much airflow under the panels as possible.
Hi Franks,
What about flat, on the roof?
If a product like Aircell is used, that would not reduce the gap enough to impact on air flow.
cheers Kim
I mean flat on the roof, there is a mounting brackets and rails typically 100-150mm gap
You want to keep the panels as cool as possible so insulating them is not needed. In fact it will cut down on the amount of energy they produce. Mine produce the most energy this time of year if the sun is shining and the cool breeze is blowing.
