Hi there,
I am looking for Melbourne groups of 6 houses which are adjacent. This may mean in a row, or back to back etc. I am running an experiment later this year to determine if such groups of neighbours can privately share and balance renewable energy use. This is a non-network trading study, but not an off-grid proposal. University of Melbourne is funding this.
One of the goals of the study is to determine if people can share and conserve. It involves a specially made in-home energy display which also coordinates sharing. This device would sit in your kitchen or similar and provide information and prompts. The study should run for at 3-6 months. No actual wiring or other changes are installed and the trial does not interact with retail billing.
If you are keen and you think your neighbours might get on board, let me know. Your neighbours can be diverse energy users, including large consumers. I can help you approach your neighbours. Any and all feedback and ideas are of course welcome. (I am aware it is illegal to interconnect across private titles.)
Cheers
