Hi does anyone know what the difference is between the two licences for crown land. One is for access and the other is general occupation, looked on google with no result. We have a licence for access, which is what we need to use a reserve road to enter our land.
Cheers

I think you will have to be more specific than that Lorri. Different states will have differing regulations and there are probably many disparate crown land licences.

Parks and wildlife handle most crown land licensing, so does forestry Tas, here's a couple of links which may help you. Otherwise contact P&W and they will give you the details you want.

Thanks , I have looked at those sites and no info on the two types. We have the licence for access, and just wondered what the other meant. Forget trying to ring them as they do not have time to take phone calls, if you ring you get a guy on the end of the phone like in the olden days who asks you what do you want, takes a phone number and say they will ring you tomorrow. Not much good if you need advice or are out of the country as we are.
We had an email from the builder saying we need a licence so wanted to ring P&W and ask what was wrong with the one we had.
We finely worked it out ourself, when the council gave us an address it changed from the original number 2/1730 to 1746 and seems it was too hard for P&W to work it out, same with Huon Council, seems they can't look on their own system, Listmap and see on the overlay there is a licence for that property, Anybody can go online and look at it.Anyway see what happens next with it all.

You may find access means you have access to it for grazing etc, but do nothing to or with the land. General occupation may mean you can live on it and make developments.
You have to understand Tas is very different to most places and being here and doing things personally makes a huge difference to the outcomes.
