We want to have a waterless composting toilet and some sort of greywater system on our 2 acre property in rural NSW.
I spoke to someone from the the local council about it and they seem to have little experience with anything other than the traditional septic tank set up. Thankfully, he indicated that he will be happy to approve my system as long as it is in line with NSW guidelines.
I've found some information online on what I need to do to design a waterless composting toilet that meets NSW Dept of Health requirements http://www.wormsloos.com.au/Make_Your_Own_Loo.htm
Where I am getting confused is finding information on designing a greywater system (shower/laundry/kitchen) which meets NSW guidelines. All I seem to be able to find online is a list of commercial greywater products which are NSW health accredited, and some guidelines on temporary greywater diversion, but nothing on designing a permanent greywater system http://www.water.nsw.gov.au/urban-water/recycling-water/greywater
I was hoping to do something like this https://www.milkwood.net/2012/10/16/building-a-simple-biological-diy-greywater-system/ but I don't know whether it is likely to get approved, and I don't want to send my plans to council unless I am reasonably sure they are okay from a state perspective.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
