Has anyone had any experience with these Chinese made mono crystalline PV panels? I've got a good install price for a 3kW system, but know nothing of the panels themselves. It seems most want to stay away from the Chinese panels except for the Suntech mentioned by Choice (via an ATA quote), but that reference was that 'some Chinese panels are good quality eg: Suntech" (or words to that effect), and I don't know the other manufacturers worth considering.

Here's a quote from their web site;
"IEC61646, IEC61730-2 and UL certifications are under way."Suggests no independant testing has been done on them yet. That in itself doesn't mean they're rubbish, simply they have no acceptable evidence as to their performance.
It also means, the mob you're dealing with can't generate RECs with an installation based upon these panels (or so I believe, an accredited installer may wish to comment on that one). If that is in fact correct, you may wish pose that to your installers, perhaps the Sungen web site is not up to date on their certification??? Otherwise, you find yourself lumped with the bill and no 5x or 1x REC allowance.
Remember to also look at what inverter is being proposed. If your install company is just bringing in Chinese product based upon landed price without consideration to standards and/or certification, the inverter may also be a no-go.
I'd suggest more clarification is required from your installer.

Most PV panels are produced in China but the sellers do not display this.
Do your own checks about Chinese PV panels. Mr Google will help. You will be extremely suprised.
