due to our bathtub being out because of a plumbing leak, we have an opportunity to insulate the bathtub.
I had asked our builders to do it when we built, but they just hung some fibreglass bats around the side of the frame the tub is in, which doesn't seem to do much, plus with the leak it was a mould fest down there.
my dad suggested spray on insulation foam. I've read about bubble wrap too (which I have heaps of saved up).
Any suggestions?

put it in, then carved pieces of timber and put in every 400mm or so, so the tub is supported and does not move when you go in (which then kills your silicon). Then got 2 cans of builders foam.
Just did it a few months ago so cannot comment on creatures or so.
But got a big inspection hole because its on suspended floor. (weatherboard), so will inspect it every now and then.
Nice warm feet and when you step in it does not make funny noises, just a solid thud as if it was cast in concrete.
