I currently have a five k/w solar system on the roof of my shed which is feeding into grid.I am building a new house and want to put an extra system on new house to run new pool and cooling etc especially in summer months.I do not want to jepordise my existing feed in by going over 5 kw system. Is there a way of [not using batteries]bypassing meter or just not telling power company to put a new solar pv on house to pay for running of pool etc ,as i am making way to much money from existing system and only have electricity no gas etc

If you are on the Victorian premium feed in tariff, then avoid anything with PV solar that would affect your eligibility.
Other options:
Make sure you get an energy efficient pump and filtration system for the pool, and looking at how you can use the house roof to heat the pool to help get the most use from the pool.
Use the house roof for providing heat to the house during sunny days using a solar air heater.
Solar hydronic using an oversized evacuated tube array heating a 1000 - 2000 litre tank inside the house, then using sub-floor hydronic pipes. That might drop your heating bill by up to half (depends if you are coastal or north of the divide with more sun).
Stand alone PV system with batteries, that you use for running the pool pump, but it would be fairly expensive.
Spend the money on putting in good double glazed windows to reduce your heating bill.
Improve the house insulation.Posted Wednesday 30 May 2012 @ 10:56:58 pm from IP # -

Power companies also have metering on their own systems so would pick up extra power going to grid and would come and investigate.
Bypasing the meter risks blowing up your system with dirty power and is ILLEGAL as well.
A small stand alone to run your pool 1KW $2000 or
4 Cooling another standalone 5Kw $10,000Posted Thursday 31 May 2012 @ 7:59:14 am from IP #
