By giving people clear & objective information about solar PV (what it is, how it works, and most importantly, tools to help people understand whether the ROI was worth it), two years ago about a hundred local households in inner Melb installed an array. We then negotiated a better FIT of 15c with a retailer, whose grid price is 17c(which is available to anyone that goes thru our website). Now people want us to explain batteries and help them to decide whether to buy one.
I have a bit of a grasp of the variables, but rather than reinventing a well-designed wheel, wld welcome suggestion on plain language resources or plain-speaking contacts if we end up holding an information event.If only the salesmen would shut up!
