Hi, similar to the solar PV traffic lights and signs used on roadway construction I am looking for a trailer that has PV and battery set up to plug an extension cord into for festivals. Thanks all.

How much power must it provide? For how long must it provide power after the sun is gone? How much must it provide while the sun is up?

We are flexible on the specs as we are trying to use a PV trailer largely for education. As they are difficult to come by we will manage our electrical demand based on what the trailer could supply.
Do you know of any trailers we could hire or borrow?Posted Tuesday 3 Mar 2015 @ 11:35:35 pm from IP # -

The Roadworks type units actually supply very little power in reality, one of the reasons for the size and weight is so they will stay in place, the leds typically used nowadays are extremely low wattage there just happens to be lots of them so those style of devices are essentially all DC. There built for the job/s they perform, not general purpose power supplies, like a generator or solar powered storage or similar might be.

Hi David,
It thought it would be worth rebooting this thread.
Where are you located within the Sydney area.
Interestingly there are a few people moving towards this and there are some more options that have been developed in the last year.
This is one of the options:

Similarly I am looking for an option at an upcoming event.
I look forward to hearing from you.
