They are only in business because they can afford to be, you can't just shut down a business, you can fine it etc but if it pays the fines it can keep on trading.
Look at it this way, if you could buy a car that almost never had failures, or one that had a 20% or whatever problem rate, which one would you buy? You wouldn't buy the one with the bad rep, so why would you use a company with a bad rep?
But, ultimately it's up to the customer, the info is out there for anyone who cares to look, if they then go with the company anyway and get burned, they can't blame anyone but themselves
I see your logic and it's very valid. Like the case McDonald's had when one of their customers found chicken feathers in the meal. But I guess they had a logical explanation for that. I bet that the meat wasn't cooked with feathers, they are not that dumb, they paid some sort of a penalty. If their products were bad of course they would have been out of business. I think that's the same with TVS, yeah, maybe some of their employees did a terrible job, did some damage but I do not believe that's the company policy. They paid a fine, fired the employee and continued. I'm just guessing here. You could be right. I'm glad that I was lucky enough to get a good, operating solar system.
