Need advice - Studio Warehouse Tar Roof

Hello,

I'm totally new to this topic and am looking for quick advice so I thank you very much in advance. We have a small recording studio in a warehouse that is roofed in tar (flat roof). The actual space we are trying to cool is about 25'x20' and the ceiling is about 15' high. On top of the tar, earlier this year, a contractor working with us covered the roof above our studio with roof patch tar to prevent water leakage. We are on a tight budget and I am wondering what the cheapest, most effective reflective paint would be to use, and am wondering if you could suggest a brand.

Hi makebrooklyncool, i used to use a product in the uk called supersol which was fantastin, but i cannot get it overhere in Aus. You may need to do a good search on google but here is some supportive knowledge to do your search. http://www.coolroofcoatings.com.au/technology/latest-scientific-paper
One good product available is Emerclad by Parchem. It has good historic ability within the industry. Always adhere to the instructions especially relative to dry surface and humidity levels on the day you are coating. Good luck.

Not sure it if is doable on tar however Astec paints in Bayswater has heat reflective paints. Just tried to get the number for you but it seems there are outlets in a few places.1300 789 686 is a free number they should be able to tell you if the paints work on tar and other info. Good luck.
