Just about everyone I know and deal with on the net, don't use social media and especially facebook. Most sensible people like their privacy and don't want their data spread round the net, constantly tracked, hacked or used to increase profit growth.
To my mind, heat pumps are the best electrical heating available, I hate electrical heating just like gas, but for many it's the only option. So getting a good efficient heat pump, or as suggested a window mounted reverse cycle conditioner would be the go.
Have a friend in Hobart, who had extreme difficulty in heating his flat in an old stone building, he had a ceramic heater and an oil filled radiator, at great expense. So we gave him a portable reverse cycle air conditioner to try out, we use it in our motorhome during summer and it runs on our lifepo4 system, once the pack and hot water is full.
It worked so well, he went and bought one off ebay for about $300. It keeps his flat very warm and the cost was minimal as the thermostat actually worked on both heat and cooling. He also uses it in summer, although his flat certainly doesn't get that hot and second hand they come pretty cheap if you just want to try it out. There are heaps on gumtree for sale, many don't have a clue how to use them properly, plug them in, get disappointed and want to get rid of them.
