What does this mean? Given that GFIT rate has already been cut to 20c/kWhr, does this mean there are plans to pay us NOTHING for the power we produce?

"People in the scheme are not affected," Mr Hartcher told reporters in Sydney.
Closing the scheme permanently to new applications and opportunities to limit cost blowouts to the existing scheme will be considered at the government's promised Solar Summit on May 6.
I understand that people in the scheme currently are not affected, although this is presumably limited to the period of 7 years that was in place when we signed up... not the 30 odd years our panels will be viable.
The whole principal of not paying people for power they put into the grid seems bizarre - robbery some might say! I had hoped we would always be paid the same for the power we produced as we have to pay for the power we purchase, but I thought that was the current situation now. So how low can we go?
Effectively you will at least get one for one if your use is greater than your solar system is producing. If you are producing excess one would expect you would be paid the same rate as you a being charged. The summit is on May 6 so start lobbying you local MP and get him interested in your vote.
One point to consider is that when your system was installed you have already received a very large upfront subsidy. At current prices my $8000 subsidy is equal to about 40,000kWh of electricity.
