I wish I had read a few forums as well before I went with True Value. I'm a reasonably smart person but I really dropped the ball with this one.
Totally agree with what everyone has already said, the so called form you have to send them to get your Form A started? well I only found out about that through a guy at work, True Value sure didn't send it to me.
The system I bought is a 10 panel, 4.2 Inverter however the installers came today and installed 8 panels and 2 x 1.5 Inverters - I didn't sign the paperwork and have already tried to call someone to find out what the hell I do now! The installer rang True Value as I stood there but they wouldn't talk to me, just told him to tell me that they would ring me, possibly next week, to sort out another installation date. Won't hold my breath for that one!
So I emailed their Customer Care area via the website and get an automated reply that the person I have emailed will not be able to respond to emails due to illness and gives a number to ring. So there is only 1 person working in the customer care area of this company??
Can anybody tell me who I can go to to complain about the disgusting customer service? Once you have paid your deposit they don't want to know you, if I could have pulled out of the contract I would have. Now I have to chase them up about the other panels, the correct inverter and hope that they have sent my details to ETSA to get the smart meter happening.
Seriously, do not go with True Value Solar, it has been nothing but a stressful time and I wish I had done a bit more research.

The industry has a lot of "cowboys" who are only interested in the next cheque.
Maybe you should consider following the recommendations for "Dispute Resolution" as set out in the "CEC Consumer Guide" to buying household solar panels. http://www.cleanenergycouncil.org.au/cec/resourcecentre/Consumer-Info/solarPV-guide Page 23.
I feel sure that you will find that if you read this guide in its totality, it will just be another thing you wished you had done b4 your PV purchase
Good Luck.
