Scenario. I have big shed that I want to cover with Solar PV panel. Either half of two sloping roof is not perfectly enlightened to the sun.
Which one is better to start with?
If there is any simple tester for solar available?
I imagine two small ie 1W solar PV panels connected to meter /logger that display separately total energy produced during the day by each panel in Wh
If I could put one panel on one side of the roof and another on second then:
1.I could compare which of this two surfaces are better suited to install solar pv panel
2.I could estimate what will be output for 1KW system multiplying that measured data by X 1000

The simplest method would be to buy two 10W modules, because they can be useful for other projects later on, and connect each one to a 12V 20W car indicator bulb.
With a series amp meter side by side you can watch the current flow and record it every 15 mins. A data logger is better but more expensive solution.
Better still would be to calculate which surface has the least shading and is closest to north facing. Options may include elevating the modules to produce a better angle of installation etc.
